This guy told me that FLIP meant F*cking Little Island People.

Back to topic: F.O.B. = Freaky Obese Babies. :shrugs:

f.o.b. = fresh off the boat. that's what it really stands for..
flip = ..i never though it stood for anything.. but i know its means your filipino :D

and many people don't know this.. because if you're chinese and you call yourself a 'chink' its like being african american and calling youself 'nigga' =\

f.o.b. is a term for asians that weren't born in american AND talk like this, for instance if i'm trying to say "mother fcuker or the trees are on fire" if i was a fob i'd say "moder pocker, or deh threhs ish on pire!"

chinks is a bad term for chinese.
aaaaaaaaaand abc.. yes it means that you were born chinese and became americanized.

to my understanding

f.o.b - fresh off the boat. Asian that refuses intergrate into the western society. They hangout with their own group of asain friends, dress in the lastest asian fashion (or not the lastest). Only speak english when they have to and when do speak they speak with an accent. favorite past time would be stuff like karaoke, drinking bubble tea etc.

a.b.c and c.b.c - american born chinese and canadian born chinese. This does not necessary refer to thoese born in USA or CAN it mean asians that are so white-wash that they prefer speaking english to their native tongue, usually have perfect english. They dress western style and hang out with peeps of different race. favorite past time would be watching the latest blockbuster, going to starbucks etc...

of course this is just the common stereotype. there are many local sterotypes attach to these name.. such as where i live f.o.b are stereotype as rich and rude.

I'm a fob...Well was, been here since '96. That's like 8 years now...People say I'm not the usual fob...Supposedly I'm quote whitewashed endquote LoL. Uhh I still looove bubble tea and would dress like a fob occasionally, but most of the time I look like a quote ABC endquote and act like one too LoL. But yeah, it's bad to stereotype! Get to know the person first...
