Okay, so here's the problem. For the past .. 4 months I've been some - what battling acne. I started using Pro-Activ and it worked. Took away some of the dark spots I had. I still had little acne on the chin, so my doctor perscribed something stronger, which I'm using now.
I have a tendency to pick pimples, so of course I picked the one I had and now there's a mark, like I fell and hurt myself or something. I want it to go away, I know it's not going to happen over night.. But what would help in getting rid of it? I also have acne on my back  Any suggestions?

well when you pick pimples...normally a nasty scab appears and leaves a scar. theres nothing much you can do about that =[...i've been there before though. i'm a pimple popper myself.
all you can do, is use what you doctor prescribes you. i read in a magazine, for the back acne you just use your face wash and use it on your bakc while your in the shower. also...make sure your washing your face twice a day, and look for sylicic (sp?) acid in your face wash. |

There's also another very strong acne fighting ingredient called benzoyl peroxide. You can find that in Clean & Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser. Hope that helps!

I've tried the Clearisil 3 day thing, that doesn't work.
So, I'd use the same thing I use on my face for my back? There's some pimples then there are blemishes; my mom thinks they're dark spots. |

i'm not the biggest expert on acne cuz all i have is the teen acne. nothing more. but my mom always had acne and she passed it down to my bro. i was the lucky one. my bro just got off this stuff called acutain or something. and it worked REALLY good. there were some side-effects. but it cleared it up real good. but that's only for chronic acne. so i duno...

i know this may sound gross, but my aunt is one of the best dermatologists in new york city, and she told me this and it has really worked so far, i have no acne left at all (it works for bacne too)
drink a tablespoon on plain vinegar every morning. I swear on my life it works, it may taste nasty, but it works |

Get a doc to perscribe retin-a and this other thing, I can't remember the name of it... but it works hella good. Just only use retin-a at night or with sunblock or you'll wreck your skin. Retin-a makes your skin more vulnurable to sunlight and sunburns when it's on, so you'll fry if you use it at day.

UGH acne SUCKS ASS... I had reallyyyy bad acne and I kinda do still... I go to a dermetologist and get prescriptions and now I'm using retin A micro.. helped me alot. but other than using your prescriptions I don't think there's anything else you can do about it =/

hahah, yes, i have much the same problem. here are some things my mom(doctor) told me to do that work pretty well
usually I pick my pimples when I'm studying/doing homework, my hand just kind of sneaks up there, searching for imperfections. If you do this, tape your fingers on that hand together, this will stop the unconscious picking of the pimples. antibiotics are good to use, some pimples are because of infections. use stuff like bacitracin, neosporin, etc. oral antibiotics like biaxin will work also. clean & clear works for me, too. i also use triaz (3% benzoyl peroxide) but it doesn't work too well. but basically use the stuff your doctor prescribes.. it should work. :p wash your face and don't touch it at all! |

Lol! I do have stuff from my doctor that deals with my acne, but it's not working real well any more. I would pretty much be fine anout my acne if the damned kids at my school didn't always make fun of me about it. I even hear the stupid ppl talking about me! It's like I'm not even in the same freacking room! Grrrrrrr.

Ok. I kno gurls are good with creams and everything...i hit puberty like 5 months ago and I have sum pimple.s..i took most of them off with stridex and stuff but wut causes them and wut gets rid of them? I dont care how they look but they hurt like crap if u slightly touch them lol!

Just wash your face every night before you go to sleep.
Pimples are causes by bacteria in the skin. If you'd like I'll go look up all that formal stuff I've forgotten. Anyway, just keep your face clean and they'll eventually go away. |

pimples are not from the food you eat..the oil in your skin the dirt..sweat..nothing like that..it is like when the poor gets infected..and rite now i am on a medication thats reallie strict for them and it is clearing up so go see your doctor if you really care and dont want pimples ...ok

It'll clear up and you'll look great and they'll all regret making fun of you. Anyway, anyone who judges you based on looks isn't really worth getting to know anyway.
I use clearasil. I don't really have bad acne though, not really noticeable. |

to get rid of the pimple scar try neosporin scar patch. to get rid of the back acne, look in a pharmaceautical store for a body wash that deals with that. its out there somewhere on the shelves. to stop popping pimples, well, that depends on your self discipline!
