more than 3 left side extra modules |

how do i get more than 3 left side modules? when i add another one my page gets so messed up. my weblogs are at the bottom and the extra module that i add goes in the center and it gets messed up. people who have the same kind of layout have like 5 or 6 modules on the left side. all i want is one more but i can't seem to figure it out. does anybody know how to get an extra one and make it line up like the others?
