Well, i noticed whenever we cook rice and leave it warmed for a day taht it starts to smell really really bad.

We've changed rice cookers, and it still does it.

We think its the rice, because we buy it in big bags and keep it for months; so is it the rice that has gone bad?

Does rice have an expiration date?

I don't think they have an expiration date blink.gif You keep it for months? blink.gif Why do you guys even buy it when you guys don't even cook it right after when you guys buy it? blink.gif It's probably because it hasn't been washed. I mean 1 months? wow...

i don't think rice has an expiration date because we buy rice in huge bags so some of it we don't use for a month or so but it still tastes good and it doesn't smell bad either. maybe it's the rice?? like uh the type of rice or company that makes it?...

i think rice goes bad after u have cooked it and left it in the heat for a couple of hours. Thats why bacteria grows in heat....

I'm not really a big fan of rice.

I only like Spanish rice, and we rarely have it.. so.. I really don't know. =/

fan doesn't expire, its just the way rice smells once you don't eat it all and save it or have leftovers...sorry that's just the way it is...

^^ ahh no, sry but you're definately wrong about that.

uncooked rice (mai) can be kept for a long long time and it shouldn't go bad as long as it's kept in a dry, cool place. Get water in it and you're screwed. Cooked rice (fan) on the other hand, goes bad very easily. Cooked rice has idea conditions for bacteria to grow, and uneaten portions should be refrigerated ASAP. the bacteria that grows in cooked rice is very dangerous, and if it changes colour, you shouldn't eat it.
