Saturday afternoon a friend of my died in the boys locker room at my school at baseball conditioning. No one knows why yet, he was just found on the floor, not breathing. It's been tearing me up inside, along with the rest of our school. (R.I.P. Joe) I haven't fully registered it yet, and I haven't really all-out bawled...but when I see his body at the viewing, I know I will...

Have you ever had a friend die? How did you take it?

Oh my God, I'm really sorry, Naomi.

I had a friend die a few years back.. we kind of drifted apart, though, because she was 3 years older than me. It's still hard, though.

I hope you get through it. <3

Sorry to hear that.

I haven't had a friend die yet. And hopefully it doesn't happen.

This girl I was friends with in elementary school (we went to different middle schools) died during my/our eigth grade year. She was trying to save her mentally handicapped sister who was trapped in the house (the sister died too). When I found out, I was bawling. After I stopped, I pretty much went through the entire day thisclose to tears. I mean it's sad when people die, but even sadder when a child dies. It's like a bright future all of a sudden dissappearing.

My condolences to you, your school, and Joe's family.

I know what you mean. Joe's dream was to be a professional baseball player. He was so dedicated. He once wrote an essay for english, which he was forced to read, and he basically mapped out his plan to achieve his goal. I think about him and how his dream was cut short, and it breaks my heart. He was such a good guy.

You never think it can happen to you, or someone you know, and now that it's happened to him...

...damnit, he didn't deserve it. This is the kind of thing that makes you question your faith. Even doing so, I prayed for him this morning.

Awww...she must be suffering so much. When her time comes, I hope she goes peacefully, surrounded by people she loves and who love her. I feel bad for Joe because he died alone. I can imagine the look on his face...pain coming on...panic setting in...dear God...

I am really sorry for your loss. I haven't had friends die but I've been through the death of my grandpa and so many of my friend's parents dying. It's never easy but you have to think, he really is in a better place now. I know that sounds cheesy but think of the hell on earth we live in. Just think, you've got someone watching over you now.

I know it's hard though and I hope you make out alright.

Always sad to loose a friend, many i have lost to different things, drugs, car accidents, shootings, each was hard to take. I know you will overcome it as time goes on, though pain will never leave us, it cant rule our lives. For now weep and be with loved ones, in the future be strong, my heart goes out with you.

i'm so sorry about your loss

first off, out of all my friends, i have had a lot die over the past years, including a boyfriend, but it just takes time, everything in life happens for a reason you just have to believe that it was important, but back to the topic, i didn't quite handle it well because everyone i knew i was close too! it just takes time, and you have to figure out what your going to do in order to get over it, find your own way to express your feelings...

examples, write in a journal, sing a-loud, hang out with friends, discuss with an adult or close friend about the problem, ART (big plus), sing it out, think about the good times, and the bad...but always be able to remember that person for what they have done in your life...

I, myself, will be able to pull through. It's much easier to cope with this tragedy when you've got friends. Thank you all so much.

As for life at school, it simply isn't the same. I was sitting in AP Government and I'm used to him sitting across the room from me, smiling or waving or something! He wasn't there today, and I ran out into the hall and collapsed, crying. The pain is still fresh, but i have to hope that he'll be happy wherever he is now.

I hope none of you ever have to go through this.

OMG Naomi, Im so sorry.

Omg, I feel so bad now. Eh, I'm sorry that his life had to end like that. sad.gif.

I hope you feel better soon. You know, that you didnt have to make a topic about other peoples' friends dying, you couldve just made the topic about Joe himself. This is a big deal for you and I understand 100%

It may; but what I think, it's situations like these that brings your closer to God and strengthens your faith. Sure, you may not realize it right now, but later on realize how you've gotten stronger, etc.

Anyways, fortunately, I've never had that happen to me. But who knows.
You have my sympathy.
