Section leader interviews. There was a likely chance that I'll get the job with the current section leader. I did pretty well...I didn't really prepare before, but I answered the questions just as I went. Pretty awesome, if I must say.

Came back from nationals last week...we got Silver. I'm sort of pissed at that, but then again, after listening to the recording, I'm beginning to think we deserved Bronze.

i never played an instrument for marching/concert band
but i did colorguard for 2 years and lots of my good friends were in band. my 2 really good friends played drums so i fell in love with the snare. i wish i could play it. drumline = a great movie. i love the marching band.

Can't we all just live without all these labels like "Band Geeks", "Nerds", "Jocks", etc? I have no support for you.

^ Chill out. Not that I believe in labels and stereotyping, but if you want to argue about labelling, go to Debate. We're just a bunch of band loving people who want to show our love, we could care less that we're called band geeks.

^ Sure, we could, but we like to identify ourselves with a name. You know, instead of a statement.

I'd like to identify myself as ... a person laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif But (oh here comes my tolerance), I guess it's ok to want to be identified with a name instead of a statement.

Chill out. We can call ourselves whatever we want. Labeling doesn't annoy me, but people who get worked up with people labeling each other annoys me. It's really not such a big deal.

holy hell, thats not the point. stereotypes will NEVER go away. thus, we should accpt them to an extent and at least not take them so seriously.

haha. i don't think "band geek" is offensive to anyone who's actually in marching band... it's a big part of life.

i marched 4 seasons of colorguard with sandy creek high school in georgia. i loved it. and yeah, i'm a band geek. i have a majillion dci shows on my iPod.
