Hah im Ryan from Elko Band of Indians in Nevada. we totally sucked this year. i play snare in marching but we had lost like ten seniors last year and the year before that was the last time we had won the Governers cup at state for like 20 years or sumthin. i hope we do better next year. last year at thanksgiving we marched in the philly thanksgiving day parade. some of you might have seen it on tv or something

We only have 27 people this concert season, after all the dropouts from last year and this year. Only three seniors (me and two other guys)... |

I'm going on my third year in marching band, and we have about 130 people that participate in it, including color guard. This past year I played trombone, but next year I'll be on trumpet. Whoo hoo!

We have 97 (rofl...I feel like an ant) in marching band. We were supposed to have about 120, but a new high school was built and zoned a lot of people out. That high school needless to say...has swapped all the awards and gained superiors. <3 them.
Concert band is a bit larger. Too large for one band. XD. |

one school nearby split 2 years ago, which happens to be the best and largest band in the country, but both bands are doing really well and the original band is still huge, so i cant imagine how it must have been before

splitting isn't good, i remember in december at the disneyland parade, my entire 350-ish band all marched and we almost had a split. SOOOO not good all.
gosh i've yet to find someone nearby.... i'll kill for a el dorado person right now |

my school's band has 350, so we're alittle smaller then yours. Well, not people play oboe, idk why. I pla flute and french horn....lol

I like that, because we have less limits and boundaries to what we could do. We've already accomplished over what we would ever expect. |

we can talk about my new york trip
were going like april 13th or something. 16 hours on a bus with band kids. that should be fun  were actually competing, i discovered our class is merging with the lower class, so were going to play 2 of our festival pieces and one of theirs because we dont have time to learn new ones. the one of theirs that were playing is one that we played in middle school twice. plus, i played it last semester, so this is now the fourth time ive played this shitty piece. its sooooo easy. actually, for some reason, the first part that i played first semester is easier than the second part i play now and played in middle school. i dont know why. buti miss the first part now also, the concert band will never be able to play our march. it should be hilarious watching them sit there and do nothing
