haha....funny and yet sorta sad...

My jazz band "A" had they first comp today, uck, didn't do well as other, tho its was pretty good. It was that battle of the bands thing i posted up earlier. El dorado won, but i mean they organized they're jazz band since marching seaon and uses them to make up for the fact that they can't march... =\

I heard that once that there was a Jazz marching band and that there was this trombone who went into it sooo much. Because he was into it so much he swung the trombone onto somebody's head by accident and gave them a concussion. mellow.gif I think the person died. mellow.gif

i woke up this morning to find a sticky note on the frigde saying "call band director," which resuleted in spastic ack! WHAT??! but it did wake me up

apparently it was just for my mom about chaparones for next year

if you are looking at going to a great music school thats not too expensive but one of the best in the country, apply for UNT. They look for good players, and if ur grades suck its oay. But they have an INCREDIBLE music program out there, and it IS kinda hard to stay in, but if you really wanna get in for musical talent, thats a great place to go. University of North Texas, btw.

were sooooo not ready. even my class of last semester is supposedly more ready than us and theyre terrible. of course, i havent heard them lately, but most of the class cant play very well

i think my class is ready, but I'm still having problems with one of my arts... and i have a solo so i'm like nervous!

i dont have a solo. i love being 3rd part again. im not cut out for this first part stuff

but after festival, we only have 9 rehearsals before new york so...thats not good

I just came back from Hawaii with the band during Winter Break. laugh.gif It was fun.
But I heard that some people in a concert band died in the Phillipines because of some food poisoning....

no, our music is 4, i think? maybe not, i dont know. but the ranking scale at festival goes like this

1-superior
2-excellent
3-good
4-[i dont remember what this is called]
5-poor

my school never gets anything but straight superiors. EVER. last year all 3 bands got 1s at festival, and our marching banf has never gotten a 2, so if we get a 2, were soooooooooo skrewed, becuase we were expected to have the best (concert) bands, not mediocre ones
