I'm sure you'll find plenty of tutorials in the "tutorials" section. But I'm in class right now, and finished my work, so I though I'd help you out.
Truthfully I've never really made a verctor image before, but I know what they are. I'm sure you know what they are too. Here's a really good detailed tutorial on how to make a nice vector. http://www.heathrowe.com/tuts/vector.asp But if you want to make one the fast way, just do this: Open the image that you want to make into a vector. Click Filter > Artistic > Cutout. Then add the following settings: Levels 8; Edge Simplicity 5; Edge Fidelity 2. That doesn't make near the vector that the first tutorial does. Hope that helps. |

well the cutout filter is like a fake vector..haha if you want to make real vectors you could try the link that the person above gave you, or you could just try some photoshop tutorial sites to see if they have vector/vexel tutorials. there are plenty of tutorial links in the big book of resources =]

You have to have the right programs first.
Photoshop, Illustrator, Imageready www.jasc.com - www.adobe.com Vector or Vexel art is when you change a picture and turn it into a sort of cartoon image. Yes all those tutorials are pretty good! There is another one, at www.maliciously.net, that one is for photoshop. Try the tutorial section for more help on the pen tool. =] |
