Do boys have this little "unwritten code" that a guy's friend can't date his ex-girlfriend.

Um, example:

My ex-bf's best friend is my crush and I wanna ask him out. o.O Is that wrong? For girls, it's wrong to date a friend's ex-bf. Soooo.. is it?

yeah guys have a code where u cant date someones x it's just not right or cool u know, so same rule should apply to women to. thats what i think. but to me if it was like only a month or less and he asked if it was ok and i thought he was a cool dude or a a great friend then sure why not but if i knew he was bad for her then no. so yeah :)

I say why not; you dont like your ex anymore. He should get/be over you. Go ahead and make yourself happy.

if it wasn't a serious thing then it should be ok if your friend asks your ex out or whatever.

It can be vise versa too. The girls do not date the ex-boyfriends, or whatever.

Yeah... It just depends on the situation more than anything... Depends on your ex, and the ex's friend... Because the friend may not date you just because of his friend, but he might too... So yeah...

^ Agreed.
It's just common courtesy to not date your friend's ex-boyfriend/girlfriend.

There is no un-written rule, it just depends on how cool the ex-bf is on you dating his best-friend.

^ what flip said. most guys usually do have a problem if you both just broke up and you want to date his friend. usually if the guy is mature enough he won't care.

oh yeah and in my opinion, you should go for it. who cares what he thinks, you two are over and you both should be mature enough to move on with your lives
