I think it's awesome that they're doing that because a lot of people (who are rich and famous) just turn the other cheek or never give back at all. My bands, my favorite ones atleast, do shit like that all the time. I'm glad to see LP gave that much! :)

That's awesome.
I love Linkin Park, and this makes me love them even more. I know they already have a lot of money, but some people once they become famous get just a bit too egotistical to donate some of their money to a good cause. [shrug] That was a good thing of them to do. |

Honestly though, think about it. Compare $100k to what they really have. It's not all that much, is it? It's like saying, "Oh here's a penny for you," to a begger. While it's the thought that counts, that's always been what I've told throughout my life whenever someone donates something. It's nothing. |=

It's good to know that not all celebrities are evil buttholes and that they actually care about the public. Unless its one of those celebrities who do these donation stunts for publicity. But I doubt thats what LP had in mind.
