Your best chance to screw up the school's administration is get a bunch of parents to complain to the school district.

yea..that might work

there's no question that it is wrong. are u attending a private school? that might be the reason. ur school can't tell you what to wear...[unless it's inappropriate]...what color ur hair should be...or how you should act. you are your own person. hmm, what ever happened to being unique? BE YOURSELF, and don't let anyone tell u what society expects from you.

fine then, i'll argue on the other side, just to make it interesting.

your school can make its own rules, and you must follow them. if you disagree with their rules, ask your parents if you can transfer. of course they give special treatment to those in sports and cheerleading and such. it's always been that way. you've seen it in movies since the 50s and 60s. that's school. oh well. deal with it, or change schools. you don't always have to be the rebel.

schools exist because of students, so they should just serve students and let them dress as they wish.

but if the kid doesn't like how the school works, they can move. the schools make rules, and you're supposed to follow them. the authorities don't change to fit you.

well, yes, but you can't change a country's mindset that's always been this way instantly.

some schools have uniforms to prevent wearing things they don't want you to wear. as i said, if you don't like that, change to a less strict school.

you do have to the freedom to choose which school you go to.

you do not have the freedom.

Zoneing laws require you go to the school for which you live in the district.

moving is not considered a choice, as you don't get to pick your school regardless of anything.

I think that they think the preps are too "innocent" to do anything. And the punks / goths are more likely to cause trouble. rolleyes.gif

I do support my school. I'm involved in the student-run cafe and our FCCLA. And I go to pep rallies and football games. But I'm by no means athletic and I don't being looked at by lots of people (so no band, orchestra, chior, theater, debate, etc...) It's not fair that because I'm not as "involved and supportive" in/of my school that I get treated differently... We're getting a new principal next year. She's an assistany principal right now and she's one of the main hypocrits... I'm so glad I only have one more year and that stupid place.

ohmy.gif So you can't start petitions at a public school? That's a violation of your constitutional rights. Since it's a public school, they have to adhere to the Constitution, because they are run by the government.

OH man, that is just wrong. Your school should have it's rules changed, I mean it reminds me of Sabrina the Teenaged Witch cause like the prinicpal doesn't care if the cheerleaders or jocks disobey the rules.
