i have no idea how to make a banner and i want to try making my own
can anyone tell me what program to use and how to make it?

u just need a art program on ur comp like ms paint or adobe photoshop or paintshopro or sumthin..then of course...u make the image the size u want and u design it or w.e u want to do with it. when u finish save it and get an account at site that uploads your pics like photobucket(also see big book of resources for more sites) ok so then just click browse and look for the file u saved on the comp and click on upload or w.e it says. then voila you got it =)

yeah you need some sort of image program...why don't you look in createblog's tutorials? you'll get a lot of ideas and techniques that you can use to make a great banner. good luck!

you first need an image editing program like photoshop, paint shop pro, corel photodraw, painter, or even ms paint. add designs on your image play around with the tecniques and filters or look for tutorials on how to do things. then save and upload.

yeah, what they said, there's not much to it. make a square in your program, add some text, color, a pic or two and voila! a banner! once you get the hang of it, you'll learn some cool effects :-D
