OVERLAPPING images on a table

so i have 2 images on a table, a bigger one and a smaller one
i want the smaller image to overlap on the bigger image, is that possible?

I dont think images can overlap unless you edit it to that way. =\

but is there a possible way of making the bigger image as a background and the smaller image as an image on top of the background?

I havent seen anything that does that before. =\ So I really dont think you can.
