You didn't understand what I was saying. The letter came from one little parish. That parish does not represent the entire Catholic Church. The only human being who's word represent the Church is the Pope. If this letter was written by the Pope, you would be right, but it was probably taken from a bulletin from some small parish that we don't even know.

Well here's another reason that I am anti-religion...

Frequently wears black clothing. Wears band and/or rock t-shirts. Wears excessive black eye makeup, lipstick or nailpolish.

So now some people arent allowed to wear black eh? What other colors will they ban next? Brown? Red? And no rock shirts? How about no tye-dye shirts or no 'Im With Stupid' shirts? What is the world coming to?

Wears any odd, silver jewelry or symbols. Some of these include:
reversed crosses, pentagrams, pentacles, ankhs or various other Satanic worshipping symbols.

Now that may be ture to some extent, but if you have one or 2 peices of jewelry like that you should not be punished for a form of clothing.

Shows an interest in piercings or tattoos.

Now, I myslef think that tattoos are stupid, but for the sake of human rights, a person should be able to get ink permenatly injected into their skin if they want.

Listens to gothic or any other anti-social genres of
music. (Marilyn Manson claims to be the anti-Christ, and publicly speaks
against the Lord. Please discard any such albums IMMEDIATELY.)

Shows a declining interest in wholesome activities, such

I play a lot of video games... Halo 2 is one of my favorites even if I suck at it because I don't have an Xbox to play it on all the time... I have PS2 and Super Nintendo. But I know that most gurls don't play a whole lot of video games...

The Church has been corrupt since the early Christianity....the Pentacle or Pentagram were NEVER Satanic symbols. They used to represent Venus, a symbol of perfection and sacred feminine. But The Church, in their attempt to destroy other religions, turned the Pentacle into a symbol of the Devil. They did this with many other symbols too.

You all should read The Da Vinci Code sometime, which how i know this stuff....and for those of u who dont know what a Pentacle is.

Well I think that was wrong for the church to send out a letter like that too it's patrones[ms]. My friend is Catholic and she has a lot of those so called points and yet nothing has happened to her. Her parents AREN'T sending her to Catholic school and making her isolated. I find this letter BS.

That isn't any kind of actual teaching or claim by the Catholic Church! Just b/c some Idiot at 1 church sent out a flier saying this dosen't mean that it is condoned by the catholic church! You want to read the Chatechisim? There is nothing in the Catholic Church specifically against Goths, Punks, Preps or anyone they are not discriminating against anyone. There can be stuff against some of the things that, as a steryotype, these groups stand for (anarchy, and self mutilation for example) but just b/c one J@K@$$ at 1 church is steryotyping dosn't mean the catholic church is! I have Catholic friends who are Goths and the church has nothing against them! If you have questions you can find a Chatecisim of the Catholic church online and look through for yourself!
