I made my xanga skin on my computer which is a 1024x768 screen size but when I go on my moms computer which is 800x600 screen size, everything looks out of place. The blog space and the nav are not where they should be. I checked a few random xangas, same page on both screen sizes, and they were fine. I dont know what I'm doing wrong for it to be different. Other peoples skins somehow stretch or are formated to fit any screen size. Any suggestions so I can correct this and make mine do the same?

well if you are worried about how other people will see your xanga, like if they will see it messed up or looking the way you want, you can use this code

Hum its just a notifier/warning. Well I put that code in there anyway. But I was wondering what if I just built my skins on the smaller resolution sized screen, would it look out of place when I put it on a larger sized screen?

i doubt it. i think it would be messed up the other way around.

Can I have an example? Skins where you position the image in the center and the blog with margin positioning are always out of place. That's why you should position both image and blog with margin positioning.

try to fix it in 800x600 and look at it in 1024x768. see if it still gets messed up.

if you mean you're divs are sliding all over the place, then fix them in a position:absolute or position:static in their inline style

heres my suggestion: realign everything in the larger resolution, it should work in the smaller resolution too...

I'm confused about the margin thing _unsure.gif

I haven't got the chance to try and fix for 800x600 to see if it will work on 1024x768

I tried the "position:absolute" but I only have one place to put it and it did help lock the nav in position but I dont have an area to put it in for the blog...I think I lost it cry.gif

And when I made it I had everything alligned in 1024x768 but its not working in 800x600.

After all of this I've come to the conculsion this is too HARD pinch.gif I think I'm just going to make any skin from now on in 800 and just cross my fingers that it works in 1024. But if anyone wants to take a crack at fixing it heres my code:

CODE
<script type='text/javascript'>
document.title = ("Take Me 2 Paradise ft Greece");
</script>

<img src="http://s04.imagehost.org/1352/island_xanga2_top.jpg">

Well.. if you know how to position your navigation and info and all that then you should know how to position your image.. You just position it the same way you did with your info so it'll stay in place in all resolutions.

Provide a link..
