i know this is gonna sound REALLY stoopid...but my eight grade dance is coming up pretty soon and i dunno what to wear...it's supposed to be formal, but i don't wanna show up in something too fancy or something not dressy enough...and, i'm really tall, and i dunno wut kind of shoes to wear...and i can't wear sneakers...if i could though, i'd really clean up my converse and wear them with a black dress tongue.gif , but i really need help...[[er...did i put this in the right spot?]]

Wear like one of those flimsy skirts and a nice tanktop to go with it. For shoes... maybe some sort of high heel shoe? or flipflops?

Depends on how formal it is.
ask other people on what they're wearing.
And then do what majority of the people are doing (say if majority of people are wearing dresses, wear a dress. if people are wearing a skirt, wear a skirt)

I don't know, we don't have fancy dances..

Last year (eighth grade) I had a "semi-formal". Everyone, including myself, wore dresses. Not gowns or anything prom-worthy, but dresses. I don't know how to explain it better.. sorry! I wore high-heels, but since you're tall, maybe just dress shoes? It also depends on your dress and "look". If you're going for something a little off-beat.. then go ahead and clean off those converse.

Id go with something colorful... because most people will wear black. Heres An Urban Outfitters dress, kind of expensive though. And some cute flats since your tall (like me! I have the same problem, i'd be towering over people if i wore heels!)Some earrings, and maybe some braclets Very detailed... lol.

well, do you guys have a theme? I remember my 8th grade dance, we had a tropical theme, so it was easy. If you don't, I would recommend a dress, maybe black, medium length with matching sandals.
