Comments.. please help., changing width font size color Options

i finally put a xanga page together. =) and im pretty how with the outcome thanks THIS andmany other websites. but when i try and see how it looks when i click on comments of eprops.. the color and size of the font changes... basically here are my problems:

1) font freaks out.. seems inconsistent with my style tag [still trying to understand all this html] colors and sizes are different and almost seem overlapping.

2) when the comment box appears... [ i really dont know what its supposed to look like] is there any way to shrink it so that my main 'blog' doesnt shift to the right?

3) is there anyway i can put a backgroud in the litlle comment box?

4) im not sure.. but have my eprops dissapeared?
