thats really shallow.

Christmas is about sharing, and giving what you have. You should be greatful that your getting something from them, especially since theyre so 'poor'.

It's not about what KIND of gift you recieve... you should be happy that you're helping them out. You shouldn't expect a nice gift from them because they can't AFFORD it. You should be thankful that they are ABLE to get you a gift to begin with. Just appreciate what you're given... and be thankful that you are ABLE to give them such nice gifts and that you're not struggling like they are. It's not about what you get... its about the spirit that you're in.

Yup, what they said. I hate spending Xmas with my step family, but I still appreciate everything they do and the like. I just wish my parents weren't going outta town and ditching me at my grandparents house for my vacation, so I can't do JACK SH*T!!! Grrr... be grateful.

Exactly..
Not everybody gets a gift for Christmas.. seriously. Be happy with what you have, for Christ's sake. Who cares about what it is, just be happy you're getting something and that they care about you enough to try and get you something.

you sound really shallow. the whole point of christmas isn't to receive something super nice because you gave someone something super nice. just be happy that you're receiving something. think about how they feel cuz they can't get you something nice.

Sometimes i ask myself if alot of people are in over their heads. Chirstmas is a time for sharing and giving, and not recieving. Its that time of the year to give us the reality check that its not what you get, but what you give. Alot of people around the world lost sight of that "giving" responsibility. Your aunt and uncle may be so poor they get your something "cheap" but you should be thankful for that. THEY ARE SO POOR BUT they STILL ARE GETTING YOU SOMETHING. Does that make sense? They are sacrificing what they have to give to you. Your blessed to be thoguht of and to be sacrificed for, so be thankful of what they give you. Christmas is a time about family, love, giving, and joy... Dont lose sight of it just because the presents you get arent exactly what you want

Wow.
They're poor... and you should be grateful that you're even GETTING a gift.
If I were going poor, I wouldn't even be getting a gift for my selfish nephew and save it on better things, say... food.
But that's just me.

wow, that's rude mellow.gif they're poor does that make your heart jiggle at all?? i mean...you're lucky you're even getting a present. That's really selfish mad.gif i mean..Christmas isn't about the presents. Geez. I'm 11...I know that...and you're probably older than me, and you still think Christmas is about the presents? It's about the thought. It's Jesus Christ's birthday, for goodness sake. You're lucky that they thought about you and got you a present when they're poor and could be getting something useful, because really, the way you're acting is wrong.

I'm sorry if this sounds a little harsh...but blink.gif i'm just appauled

you should understand. it's christmas. think of other people than yourself. that, to me, is pretty hurtful. christmas isn't about getting pretty and expensive gifts. you're lucky that you're even getting presents.
