Cute. It reminds me of those Bratz Dolls for some reason, so I think a lot of preteen girls would use it.

Well, when I first look at it.. I don't really like it. But to improve on this design, you should erase the background behind the girl so it looks like it blends into the back. Do something about the straight edge on the bottom of the girl.. either fade/blend it in with the background or move her down so the edge meets with the bottom. Take the words "New Entry" out.. because it won't always be a "new entry" (unless you only show the most recent entry) and maybe say xanga entries, weblog, dear diary.. or something. Maybe use a different font for the navi (you also spelled "Guestbook" wrong).. and a border around the blog. Hope this helps!

yeah it totally reminds me of those bratz dolls. it's cute but the image quality is kinda low.

First I would remove the background around the picture of the girl. If you have photoshop try feathering the bottom edge so you cant see where it cuts off too. Also maybe change the blog space, definately add a border, maybe a 1px black? For the blog color you can just make a white layer with a lowered opacity? Other than that it looks ok, I like the colors.

I appreciate all of the feedback so far.
I don't have Adobe - but I am trying to work with Paint Shop Pro. I have never used this kind of program before - so I am working my way through this one slowly. I agree that it is kind of teeny bopper-ish so to speak - but I also noticed that most of the xanga users seem to be teenagers as well, so I thought it might appeal somewhere along that lines. I will try and rework it and see what happens. thank you so much again. Also I am trying to figure out this code thing. When I put the code in and preview it - I can't figure out why I don't have the option to add a new entry or to edit an entry. does anyone know what I need to plunk in so that the blog is actually functional for the blogger? |

-The main girl has a blue background behind her that kind of cuts into the other layer. Maybe take that out?
