I need help., My MP3 player is driving me crazy! Options

Erf. I bought my Memorex MMP8500 Mp3 player yesterday @ Circuit City and it worked perfectly fine last night when I put some songs into but now today, I erased the songs I had before [because I was just testing it out] and when I turn it on it gives me this [error reformat internal media as FAT16]. I tried taking out the battery but it still does the same thing. I try to clear it out from my computer but it doesn't even show up as a plug in.

I'd be very grateful if you can help me.
