I usually get a napkin, and just wiped the top off (sometimes) cause i don't want anything to happen to my cola. lol

i haven't tapped the top of cans.. but i do clean the top though! lol.

yeah i first wipe off the top part then tap it. i tap it because im scared if the air is not ready to come out but as soon as u open it, it blows up... so yeah lol

I love the massive amounts of random topics circulating within createBlog now.
 Anywho, I actually thought when you meant 'can' in the title...that you meant your arse.  But to answer your question, no - I have never known someone to do that. Maybe us Pittsburghers are just unintelligent.
