Hey guys, when you link to an image for your backround from another site, is there anyway you can fade it? Without doing it manually and uploading it somewhere else? (all i have is paint, and i can't fade with that) I'd appreicate it.

fading in paint is gonna be hard... since it's not possible.
so here, use this code. i don't know if you can use it on background images, but try it... http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10289 ^ and if that wont work.. you could ask someone to do it for you O_O |

this is the code for the background:
<body background="URL HERE"> and if you want it fixed: <body background="URL" bgproperties="fixed"> i guess you can try like putting the two codes for the background and fading together like this: <body background="URL" bgproperties="fixed" style="filter:alpha(opacity=30);-moz-opacity:0.3" onMouseover="high(this)" onMouseout="low(this)"> dunno if will work but you can try edit// i tried it but it faded everything on the page |

Edit: Oh, oh..i found if i put that code in the very beginning of my custom header it fades just the background pic, but somehow it made my boxed xanga go away too |

Alright, I just put the code you gave me eariler in the very beginning of my header, with the boxed code right after that. If you look at my xanga I saved the changes; it fades the background picture but totally gets rid of the box and like, all the borders and stuff.
Ohh you know what? I think it's good enough. The background is faded and that's what a wanted, so are the entires but they're readable so I think i am just going to stick with it. Thank you so much for your help! Someone can close this topic now... |
