well.
my parents are really restricting. they don't let me wear skirts, dresses, and cute tops like halters, tubetops, and spaghetti straps. i don't know why, and sometimes i feel left out. I've missed all my formal dances so far [5 of them to be exact]. i don't know whats wrong with it. Is there anything i can do to convince them.? |

You know, I've NEVER been to a high school dance before, so if I were you, I wouldn't be too worried. But anyway, woah no dresses and skirts? Well my mom always wants me to wear a sweater/jacket lol becuaset it's always cold in the morning and whatnot. But even so, I still wear spaghetti straps underneath. My parents used to not let me go out and go to my friend's house or any birthday parties... so my parents are strict too... but now they're loosening up.. and yea I can go out now. Best of luck with your parents! Just remember, a few more years and then you'll be 18 and you can wear and do whatever you want

it just takes time... maybe your still young... they have to feel like they can trust you or that its not that revealing maybe they see otehr irls in those clotehs and they look slutty in it..

i dun think they're being restrictive...perhaps..over-protective??they r protective..which means they care ALOT bout u..n all u should do is soak in all e care..BUT..u can also tell them tat if they dun let u wear skirts n dresses..u may become a tom-boy...(a joke..n it should depend on how strict ur parents r 2 tell them tat..)tat should scare them abit..haha..n also..try not 2 go too over if they allow u e 1st step of freedom..coz they're juz testing whether they can trust u..yea??hahaha.. otherwise...cheer up!!!they wont get b so strict in yrs 2 come..bye!

my parents are over-protective too.
i'm allowed to wear tank tops, spaghetti straps, skirts/dresses. but no tube tops. i'm allowed to go to dances, but not sleepovers because they think i'm too old for that. but maybe you are a bit young, don't worry you're not missing out on too much. |

my parents are like that too, but i know they do it cuz they care and want the best for me. i've done some wrong things in the past so i guess i deserve the restrictions i get from them. the best thing to do is to build up their trust cuz eventually they'll become less strict once they realized that your growing up to become a good person. it worked with my parents. anywho good luck with everything.
