I've only met one other girl named Marilyn. It bothered me at first because kids in my class talked about her, and I thought it would bother her too since Marilyn's not very common. But she was ok with it, so I was happy .

BUT. there's a seventh grader at my school who has the same name and almost the same last name as me. one time, her name got annouced on the school morning news and everybody thought it was me -_-" it was so sad. and plus, she's the exact opposite of me, so everyone makes fun of me....>:[ oh well.

Anyway, I have a common name. I hear the name "Christina" around, at least once a day, and they're not calling me lol.

And sometimes people called me "Christine" back in elementary and middle school, so then now, anytime i heard anyone say that, I instantly turn around. Even though my friend Christine is right next to me and they're calling HER lol. I wish I had a name no one else did.

My spanish teacher, last year, had like 10 people with the last name Nguyen, and he always calls everyone "Mr./Ms. [insert last name here]." So when he called anyone in the class with the last name Nguyen, all 10 would turn around. Hahahha =P

No one has the name Marvin at my school. But someone at my school has my last name, Aquino. Everyone kept asking me if I was related to "Andy Aquino" It pissed me off. Then again people must have asked Andy Aquino if he is related to me. But now that I'm a junior, people stopped asking me.

yeah, its kinda annoying when people calls your name and you dont konw them. Sometimes when l was walking on the street and someone calls my name but its not me their calling . the worst part of it was when other people talks about someone then suddenly you will hear your name man its really freak me out l know alot of people that has a last name like mine but l dont care about them as they dont care about me

No one I know has my name (Carrie). But it got kinda confusing during the presidential campaign. Everyone was talking about Kerry and if I wasn't paying attention, I'd be like, "Huh? Who called me?" but then realize that they weren't talking about me...yeah, I know that sounds dumb and airheaded, but whatev.

But yeah, at my high school there were two girls named Candace Johnson and in the yearbook, these geniuses (the yearbook staff) had them identified as Candace1 Johnson and Candace2 Johnson. I thought that was hilarious. But it kinda sucked, seeing as how it was their senior year.

well i've only met ONE other person called tina. and she was super cool! lol and noone in my school is called tina. there's tina as a nickname from christina. which i totally don't get.

why would your nickname be tina if yr name's christina? shouldnt it be chris or christy

at my school...they dont have the same first name but there is like 32 people that arent related that have the same last name

Well, i don't know many ppl who have the same name as me [Beckye - pronounced just like Beckye, lol] so I don't get pissed when I hear about someone who has my name. Ph, my full name is Rebekah, but don't tell anyone, I hardly tell pll that!!
What does piss me off is when they spell it all weird like: Rebecca- Rebeka- Rebeckah- Rebecka...etc etc etc. GRRRRR

the reason i think the way i spell it [Rebekah] is the RIGHT way is because the first recording of the name Rebekah is in the Bible, and it is spelled r-e-b-e-k-a-h. so yeah... but i know, diff ppl got diff opinions. i dont care *shrugs*
anyways, i either stick with Beckye, or the many nicknames from my friends for me... teehee i'd write for a decade and never remember all of them... el oh el.
