Hmm.. I've heard that 40 dollars is the monthly income of a middle-class worker. Thus you'd probably survive 2.5 months, depending on how you spend your money. Wise, that is. But if you're staying in a hotel, why of course it would only last you a month.

That's okay because I, too, am half vietnamese. I can understand most things in vietnamese, when I hear it. But I can't speak viet or read it. I am also half chinese.

Anyway, I only know english as well. So you're not alone

You'll rarely see me sober at karaoke get togethers... then again, I don't karaoke much... okay, I'm lying. I do karaoke, but I don't touch the other stuff unless someone offers.

How I see it is you don't have to have a karaoke set to have a gathering, just enough beer to last through the night. Or at least, that's the case with gatherings I frequent.

Vietnamese are funny like that. Actually, people are funny like that in general.
