how long till i tan?, how long do u stay out to get a tan?

ok this is kinda a dumb question... but wenever ppl tell me the answer i dont quite get it... lol ok so wen ppl say they go to the heach and they get tan.. how long should u stay out in the sun in order to get a tan?... cuz lots of ppl say oh i go to the beaach to get a tan but how long do u need 2 stay out to get a good tan... cuz im reeli white and i hate it and i wanna get a tan but i dont know how long i should stay out...

not too long!!! cuz u dont want to get skin cancer sad.gif id say an hour??? and maybe u dont tan because thats just how ur skin is...theres always self tanners out there to use.

gah i dont like using self tanners cuz they turn ur skin orange... at least the ones ive tried... has n e 1 tried ones that actually work?

get some tanning lotion...it will prevent a burn...maybe an hour. whenever i goto the beach i tan for a little, go in the water...tan somemore. you dont even have to lay out the whole time. just being out and swimming will help you tan

Get a mystic tan. It's only about 100 dollars more expensive.

i stay out for a loong time maybe 2-3hrs. -- i use 4spf tanning lotion, ill pbly get skin cnacer ermm.gif
i used to go to the tanning bed, that works alot,
dont use the stuff you can buy at wal*mart the instsant tan, its ugly
i sug. gte the spray on tan at the tanning place it last for about 3wks (like for prom) its 70 bucks where i live biggrin.gif

In the summertime, whenever I went to Hawaii, or any sunny beachy place, I just swam and played, and then eventually I had a tan. I stayed out there for about 4 hours (but don't just stand in the direct sun that long, I swam and surfed and bodyboarded and all that good stuff). Just be sure to wear some suntun lotion.

(The tan eventually just disappeared. But it doesn't matter because I'm already dark enough/tan enough.)

um i think it depends. i layed out for 30 min or so..? i think.. and i got one shade darker. yeah never tanning again cus ill turn black.. hahaha... but yeah. it depends! <3

lol just go to the beach and swim around and have fun. that's how i got a tan. actually im naturally tanned. cant get untanned =\ which is like bad for an asian apparently blink.gif because they prefer pale girls

but anywho~ yea! if you play around and swim in the water you still get a tan! better than just lying there

i use neutrogena instant bronzer. it doesnt turn ur skin orange....or go to a tanning place or those places taht spray u with stuff

I don't really NEED a tan. I like being mexican..my skin tone is just about right =]. I think _unsure.gif

Anywaysss I say stay out about 5-6 hours in the sun..?

first of all...you could get cancer...from staying in the sun too long. second..it normally just takes a few hours. =)

it really depends on your skin tone....i'm mexican, so i'm naturally tan,so it doesnt take me long. but dont stay out too long, and make sure u put on a strong sunscreen

um try staying out in the sun (during summer) with your bikini on, and tanning lotion. apply and lay either on ur back or stomache and switch off every i dunno mintues. re-apply lotion and keep doing the samething? i think i'll work, never really tried though. i'm naturally tan. heh heh.

Lie down on each side for 15 minutes. 4 sides, so it's an hour. And always always use sunscreen.

Well you might not be able to tan i cant i have really fair skin but i have tryed some self tanners they turned me orange for about a week mad.gif but finally i gave up i dont care im happy

ok well first of all not all self tanner works.. sum of it turns ur skin orange.. so which ones do? and if u put on sunscreen wont that make it harder to tan?or at least thats wut i thought...

i don't have an exact time but yeah...not for too long. maybe...an hour or so? but remember to wear sunscreen! happy.gif you don't wanna burn.
