To my opinion i believe that the novel "Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carrol was all about drugs.

To support my theory i have the folowing;

1. Alice eats food and drinks things that make her grow and shrink.
2. The blatant use of some sort of weed used by the Caterpillar to which he becomes something else and sees pretty colours
3. a floating cat....

need i say more....

Lewis Carroll used drugs, he was a pedophile, and a few of his works are influenced by those two.

I don't think the novel was about drugs, but it showed many instances in which those substances were at work.

I think Alice in Wonderland was mainly about his beloved little Alice, growing up and confused by all the lessons she's been taught by adults. Her perspectives that he takes are brought to an extreme by, again of course, the influence of drugs.

Through the Looking Glass.. the somewhat sequel deals more with sexual overtones as Alice grows older..

Yeah. ^

It most likely wasn't about drugs.. but because of his history, I guess it sort of sounded like it was? I don't know, I really haven't read it in a long time.. but I guess a lot of it's supposed to be magical and whatever. tongue.gif

That site is questionable o_O

There were other drugs that could have been used besides LSD, opium the most likely. Ever read Alexander Dumas' Count of Monte Cristo? Explicit use of drugs there in various parts. Ken Kesey and his works were spurred by the intake of drugs. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is one I've read and that too has an obvious influence of drugs.

As for the pedophile part, it's like saying MJ's not a pedophile. jk. I'll have to get back to you with evidence, but I think I've read in my research of Carroll that he fell in love with Alice.

we should all just start making aligations about the secret meaning of movies.

e.g. citizen kane was about the last supper,
who framed roger rabbit was based on the lindenberg baby

how's that sound?

and i more than likley spelled lindenberg wrong.

Well, I always sort of thought it was based on drugs. But, wasn't Alice dreaming in that book? It waas her imagination.
