I think Rooney is definately one of the best bands ever. If you think so, too, post your little heart out!
Yes, this is indeed the band that appeared in an episode of the O.C. (I didn't discover them then, I'm proud to admit) Yes, this is the band featured in The Princess Diaries. Michael Moscovitz, a.k.a. Robert Shwartzman, is Rooney's beloved Robert Carmine (he changed his name for the band) Yes, Carmine's brother, Jason Schwartzman, was in the movie Rushmore and the former percussionist in Phantom Planet. Yes, Jason and Robert's mother, Talia Shire, was Adrienne in the Rocky movies and was in the Godfather films. Yes, their grandfather, Francis Ford Coppola, did direct the Godfather movies. I love "Blueside." And...that other song. Ok, so I admit, I haven't listened beyond the single I used to see music videos of, back when I watched and listend to that stuff. Rooney is ok, but I only have "Blueside" on my ipod, and that's plenty

Blueside is awesome, too. So is Popstars, though, I have to admit, it is my least favorite song on their cd... It's so boring compared to the rest of them lol Anyways, keep spreading the Rooney love! Rin-chan |

Rooney is so awesome. I first heard of them when they were on Tiger Woods 2004. That game was awesome lol. Anyway after that I saw them on The OC and now they are one of my favorite bands.

I think me, like most people, are just too lazy to look for bands. There are way too many out there - some are so amazingly talented but just haven't had enough exposure. If you like Rooney so much, wasn't it a good thing that they got to be on the OC, so that others could hear their music?

It's not that I don't want Rooney to be recognized, and I'm not a fan, so that's not the issue, it's just starting to get on my nerves that a band will be mentioned and 15 people will say that they heard of them from the OC. It's not Rooney that's bothering me, it's the developing patterns

I think it's so cool there are so many //R// fans here!!
I discovered Rooney on (not the O.C.) Yahoo Launch when they were the hot new band of the week. I watched the 'Shakin'' video and fell in love with their music. When I heard 'Blueside', I realized my brother had that on his Tiger Woods 2004 game and he and my parents thought it was such a cool song but didn't know anything about it. A year and a half later, I am a full-fledged Rooney fan anxiously awaiting the release of their second CD. I heard it's coming out in early 2006. They had some problems with producers, that's why it's taking so long.... lol Rin-chan |

'That Girl Has Love' is really good, and really sad. My favorite, at the moment, fromt their CD is 'Stay Away.' It was actually in Chasing Liberty in the beginning when Mandy Moore's character drives off with her date.
