what OS are you using? win 98? your settings probably were deleted with system.ini, which is probably why everything is messed up. i'm not sure what to do here, other than put all of your settings back to the way they were in control panel.

ryanoman - did all that..

dreamoi - .. ok

ryanoman again - .. what?.. that doesn't have to do with anything. my graphics are messed up because on tha display thingy, it's on 16-color, and everything's big because it's on tha first resolution. when i change it, tha computer has to restart before changes take affect. but when it restarts, .. it freezes on a black screen

kryogenix - what's OS? as for changing my things on my control panel thing, look at what i put for ryanoman's second reply

chaos13 - It doesn't suck, something just.. happened.. and then it started acting all retarded.. well, now it sucks cause something's wrong, but before it was okay...

xnofearx - yea, already did that

OS = operating system. Example: MAC OS 9 or Windows XP or Windows 2000.

I think it's time you activated your computer's emergency recovery system. If you have it, of course. If not, I'd consider reinstalling your OS.

HAHAHA I TOTALLY REMEMBER THAT happened to me too! Totally awesome that you can work a comp w/o a mouse! (Now I just hide a mini-mouse in my drawer if they take my real one)

You guys think u had it hard, I accidently pushed my monitor to go 1200 when its max was 1024. THe whole thing wouldnt show up and I had to guess my way to the desktop properties page.

jnuke, I know Windows Xp has it, not sure about ME, but when you start your comp, maybe it'll say on the corner, [F2] for system recovery. Or when you start up your comp, when the first screen goes up, start pressing F2 or any of the other F's to see what happens.

[edit] btw, the room your comp is in is very very very cluttered and messy!

I'm pretty sure ME has a system restore feature as well.

Once my computer had messed up colors/resolution, and I reinstalled my graphics driver... go to www.intel.com . The only thing is you have to know like your chipset, or your original driver... indenity/serial..

Do you have your Operating System CD? Put it in. Re-install your operating system... If you don't have the disk, you can buy Windows XP Upgrade for $90.00

Go use another comp and find the # for customer service on microsoft.com or your PC manufacturer's site. I would find it, but I don't know the specifics on your comp.
