Pleae help with my layout... Options

Hi, I just made my first xanga layout, http://www.xanga.com/moonlitsunrays, but obviously it is not fitted properly. Does anyone know how to put the entire left module and blog section into two separate scrollbars/textareas? Also, there's a big gap between my left module and blog section, and I want to get rid of it so that it can fit into the space that I made for it in the background. And ahh that ad. I remember there used to be a code that I found on these boards that allowed you to make it more transparent but I can't find it anymore. Any help with any of these problems will be greatly appreciated! Please help, thank you!
