I was just wondering what the pro and cons of each type of format are concerning file size, compression, and quality. It'd be a big help if you guys could help me out. Thanks in advance.

.BMP - I think the quality is good, but it takes a really, really long time to load
.GIF - Image Loads fast, but the color is off on old monitors .JPG - Loads fast, but its a bit fuzzy and blurry on old monitors .PNG - The quality is really good, but it takes a long time load, though not as long as .BMP I'm not sure about .TIFF, I never saved it as that before, but if you save it as .PSP or .PSD, you can't really put it on a website, people usually save it as that, because you can still edit all the layers, and when you're done, you can save it as something else. |

personally i think .gifs and .jpg are the best...and there the most common file types used on the web

i like .png ;.jpg ; .gif best thouse are the onli ones i really use & they work good fer me

.png and .bmp take quite a while to load but the quality's good.
.gif loads very fast but the quality isn't very good. I prefer .jpg most. The quality's quite good and the file size is not too big. |
