In general, I do not believe in plastic surgery but if it's to for health reasons, then it's okay

i personally think people who have plastic surgery just to make themselves nicer dont appreciated what god gave to them. unless u go for plastic surgery because an accident or sumthin, its ok with me.

I don't think it's right. It just isn't.

edit.

Actually, thinking more about it, I think it doesn't matter one way or another. If it makes some insecure person feel better about themselves, sure. I think people are fine the way they are. Plastic surgery can be excellent, though, because say someone got burned or mauled- it's pretty demeaning to have people stare at your face like you're some hideous freak of nature everywhere you go. I say it's a great idea if you've been harmed, but otherwise, I wouldn't waste the money and potential risks of complications on plastic surgery.

personally, i think if its like..getting lipo, i dont like it. you should work hard and try to shed the weight off yourself. but if its breast implants, then im fine. boobs arent going to keep growing after theyre done growing. but those women who get breasts that are the size of their heads..are so ugly.

I mean with plastic surgery i think its fine if you've have stuff tht prevents a healthy living. Like if your face was messed up at birth or u had brest cancer and had to cut of your breast i think its fine but using it because your face isn't right is crap

I agree. I think advancements in plastic surgery have made it possible for many disfigured people to lead normal lives. Lives that they never could have had if it wasnt for the help of the "reconfiguration" of their faces (or other). In terms of just doing it to look "better" than you already do, i have nothing against those people but in general, i think people should appreciate what they look like. just my opinion ^_^

I don't care. Let people do what they want, if they're brave enough and have the cash.

If looks supposedly don't matter, then who cares if they change something they used to have? It's still them.

Gosh, I hate plastic surgery!!

I was in the mall, and I was going to Macy's. I SWEAR, this girl looked like one of those people who are born a guy and wanted to be a girl. You can just tell that she had her eyes, boobs, lips, but, and nose completely done. It seriously scared me, I thought she was a manican at first!!

Its totally horrible, some people might just be having a bad day, notice one small flaw, and go get plastic surgery. And then, that plastic surgery makes "the rest of her face look bad". So they get more, and more until they are meeting the plastic surgeon weekly for "dinner". Haha, somebody might even be telling they're sister or brother or something that they're going on a date, heck yes. A date to the surgeon! Haha.

i know how many women care about their appearances,
but it is the inner beauty that counts.

i dont really care that much. if it really makes you feel better and it boosts your self-confidence, then go ahead.

hmm; i dont think theres a need to it. One should be happy with how they look like. But it's their decision. If they feel the need to physically change the way they look; than be my guest.

I've got mixed feelings about it.
If somebody truely needs it to help them with self-esteem issues then I say go for it.

But all of those rich wives who get something different done every month are stupid. All of that extra money could be spent on better things or even donated. ohmy.gif

I think just because people don't fit the perfect mold doesn't mean that they should change themselves. What ever happened to the saying "It's what on the inside that counts".....

I guess if it's a minor thing then it shouldn't need to be fixed but if it's a major thing then surgery could be considered. _unsure.gif

i find it wrong.
To want to change yourself
you should be happy with what you look like
and if your not
then go to a gym and work for it.

I don't find it wrong if you really need it though
like some women have back problems because of having ehm to large of breasts..
but i mean having a breast reduction for that kind of reason i don't find it wrong..

but just getting it to change yourself
because you don't like how you look

get over it.

It's not always a weight problem. There could be something deformed on your body, or face. Simply going to the gym won't help that.

I really don't think it's anyone else's business to tell people what they should and shouldn't do.

Americans seem to like doing that nowadays.

well if your read it all
i said that if there was some kind of problem
then no i don't find it wrong
because its helping them.
But just to change yourself because you don't like this thin fat on your legs or something is just dumb..
im not telling people not to go do that
because it won't ever work
people aren't going to listen to other people
because everyone is opinionated.
and everyone is going to accept their own opinions until someone better
comes around and tells them something that sounds better than what they came up with.. mellow.gif

I am pro plastic surgery (not including reconstructive) because not every one is happy with themselfs. They should be but they arent, so here comes plastic surgeryy and MAKES you feel better about what you look like. And thats my point its a beautiful thing what it dose to you. It sucks fat out of your body and lets you live up to "social standards" well i mean on MTV all you see is skinny chicks with nose jobs and when you see someone with more to love its like ew. not me personally but there are mean people out there. ermm.gif YOU KNOW WHAT f**k PLASTIC SURGEY FEEL GOOD IN YOUR OWN SKIN *then if you dont refer back to it LMAO laugh.gif

wasn't plastic surgery intended for like, burn victims and what not? Not for our own pleasure? I think it goes too far sometimes. I personally am for it only if you have a physical disfigurement like burns, or an incaved face, HAHA.

Plastic surgery for heath issues, like burn victims (which was said) I think is okay. But to change your looks because you just want to I think no. God gave you what you have. Live with it. God doesn't want you to change it.

^How do you know God doesn't want you to change it? If God made you ugly, you have a right to make yourself look better.

"But to change your looks because you just want to I think no. God gave you what you have. Live with it. God doesn't want you to change it."

(Someone said that, I don't know who)

PLEASE do not bring "God" here. Man, why do you people have to do this for every debate? You somehow find a way to shove religion into it. SO STOP IT.

I personally think that you should leave people be happy. If they want plastic surgery so that they can live normal (or better) lives, then so be it. Who are you to say, "Oh, it's wrong! Don't do it! You f**king fake!" ? That's f**king idiotic! It's not you who's getting it, right?

There are people who hate themselves because of the way they look. They don't go out, they don't really socialize that much, they don't really have boyfriends/girlfriends and all of that. And when they go out somewhere and see the "beautiful" people, they feel even worse. Especially people who have been in accidents and whatnot. Do you not think that these people deserve something better than sitting at home alone every Friday night and staring at their f**king TV screen all night long?

i dont think theres anything really bad about plastic surgery, i want a nose job when im older because i hate my nose, but yea i think if youre not happy with your body, change it. for example if u want a flatter tummy and excercise and diet and all, its the same as just gettin lipo really..only that lipo is like really expensive lol
