okayy so im 14..in 9th grade..freshman in h.s .. but this topic isnt about me..its about my friend..same age same grade etc..but recently i found out shes been talkin to this guy that she meet online in a checkers chat room..at first i was like i guess its okay.. i mean that cant be to bad.but then i found out hes in 11th grade lives in cali..and has been talkin on the fone with her for a while..she gave him her fone number..ive talked to him..he sounds alot older.. and im scared he mite try to hurt her.. i tried talkin to her but she says he wont hurt her..cuz hes realli easy to talk to..i told her guys like that can just be leading u on..err help!!

I've been in a situation liekn this before. had met this guy on an RPG site. We got to talkin, and hey he was great. The thing was he was 4 years older than me. He wanted my phone number so I gave it to him. He turned out to be a real d*ck in the end when I wouldn't give him what he wanted (sexual attention). He also lived all the way on the west coast when I lived in the mid west. Also, he called my house at 2am in the morning, my mom was very ..well...POed when she found out he was someone from the internet. My advice to you is, try to talk to her a bit more. Tell her some people aren't like they seem. Especially at first. Make sure she gets evidence this guy is real (many pictures, and address maybe) Something of the sort. Well good luck. <333

maybe you can try finding some articles on the internet/magazines about online stalkers and stuff.
that might help. or maybe you should tell a councelor or something. |

i gave a dude in the chatroom my phone number when i was 8, he called me, and well he mostly cautioned me bout stuff cuz he found out that i was really 8 (and he didn't believe me)... |
