it`s okay. very simple. you should try putting the scrollbar in the blog and make an image map. maybe add some effects to the bg if you want it a bit "exciting".

What catches my eye is the placement of the Xanga's banner. Maybe differentiate it from the blog area more? And yea, if you like simple then it's ok. Needs more to make it more enticing though.

I like the bright but soft yellow.
Nice and simple but not too plain. But yeah, maybe add a few effects to the background. Overall, nice job.
