this is dedicated to my babeguy ;P for those who don't know, he resides in cali, while i'm on the east coast ;o our three year anniversary is coming up on november 4th ;].

patience

if instead of land there was sea,
how quickly you'd be brought to me.
fluent waves of words softspoken,
bearing trials of love's sweet token,
bring me promises unbroken...

if instead of earth was water,
swiftly you'd be carried over.
blue liquid marbles rolling you,
'cross the ocean, of ground, in lieu,
and to your home you bid adieu...

if instead of soil was ocean,
to my heart i'll hold the notion
you'll be swept by a force divine,
from there to gentle arms of mine:
a place where fates of lovers bind...

yet 'tween us lie cold mountain clay,
for many years and miles they lay,
how long until "us" will exist?
how long 'til our first tender kiss?
how long will we endure this bliss?
through all the doubt, i do know this:
our lives will intertwine one day,
and on that day my lips will say...
i love you... with me, won't you stay?
