On August 20, 2004 one of my friends Kerina Salazar was driving home from a camping trip. Her car collided into another car and she was flung out the window. She was prononced dead at 7:39 PM Friday evening in a local Barstow Hospital.
At her funeral they played one of her favorite songs "Diary" by Alicia Keys. At the ending of the song her mother came up to her grave and put the soil on her grave. Now everytime I listen to that one paticular part I cry a lot. Then when I try to sing it in my mind. It skips over that one part.
Do you think that is unusual that I can't remember it when I try to think about it and when I listen to it I cry a lot? It has really made me wonder.

In loving memory of Kerina Elaine G. Salazar April 4,1990-August 20,2004

First off, i am deeply sorry about your loss! I wish there was some way i could help. But i know that loosing someone takes a lot of time. Take your time & i hope everything is alright! Second, No i dont think it's unusual. It's normal, you have lost your friend and are greeving (sp?). Most of the time it doesn't really hit you until 3 weeks later, well, that was my case. flowers.gif Flowers for you! RIP Kerina Salazar.

I totally agree. Sometimes your brain blocks out painful memories as a type of defense. So, since you associate that song with Kerina's death, it doesn't suprise me. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Never forget: life lies in the soul; not in the body.

She'll always be with you...

i know how you feel.
3 years ago (wow its been that long...)
my best friend was going to a summer camp. she was with a group from her church in one of those grey hound buses. the driver apparently had a history of drugs and such and he fell asleep at the wheel and collided into a cement pillar thing from an over pass. out of like 30 people she was 1 out of 4 people who died. Just to let you kno time does heal. its been three years and i still miss her but ive gone on with my life. I hope your friend is in a better place.

it's normal... it's human emotions.

you're just not over the grieving process yet...

there, there... ::pats back::

it is hard, and we cannot lie about that.
