I can't seem to make it so the blog is on top of my image map. Here's the code.

<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com -->
<div style="left=0; top=0; position=absolute;">
<!-- end code provided by createblog.com -->
<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com -->
<div style="left=0; top=0; position=absolute; z-index:1;"> <IMG SRC="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v13/fondue/skin_robotarmy.jpg" WIDTH=900 HEIGHT=600 BORDER=0 ALT="" USEMAP="#skin_robotarmy_Map">
<MAP NAME="skin_robotarmy_Map">
<AREA SHAPE="rect" ALT="" COORDS="34,247,132,270" HREF="http://www.xanga.com/logout.aspx">

</div>
<!-- end code provided by createblog.com -->

<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com -->
<div id="Blog" style="width:300; height:500; BACKGROUND:#ColorNumber; overflow:auto; FILTER: chroma(color=#000000) allowTransparency alpha(opacity=100); z-index:2;">
<!-- end code provided by createblog.com -->

According to the tutorial I pulled off here, the bolded z-index numbers should put the blog on top of the image map. What on earth am I doing wrong?

........
Why would you need z-index numbers?
And why do you need 3 div layers?
Oh, and you forgot a hex code towards the end.
Use "#Transparent" if you're not using one.

Now that I re-read the tutorial, I realize I can put them together. But how? And the order that I write them will determine their order on the page, right? So should I write my image map first or my blog?

I think your div layer code is a little messed up, try using the ones from the skin tutorials.

Z Indexes.. they sort of tell you which element is above another.
Why wouldnt you need three divs? One for the blog, one for the image, one for a module.
