doesnt it feel good to get respect from some one you've never met before...like they don't think you're a freak or imply things that make you feel uncomfortable and stupid...but they take in your actions and what youre saying-it's actually having an impact on them...

i can't help but appreciate a stranger's kindness and interest having grown up being humiliated by rich "tyler preps" i hardly knew or encountered just once...damn kids...kids are cruel!!

ive kind of just realised this feeling and am going to try and be more like that because that is how i want to be treated and no matter who the person they are going to have an impact on me tongue.gif

can any one else relate?

lol yeah... like where i volunteer at, some of the kids there hate me for no reason but a lot of the young and old respect me... for ex. i was in the elevator and this guy knew my name and told me how he and the hospital respects me for what i do here...etc....

awwh, you got humiliated by rich preps? x_x me too. -has haunting memories of private school- X_X;

Yea.. SOme times me and my friends just joke around and say hi to random people. And sometimes that think we are cool and stuff. One of them even said were good kids not cuaseing any trouble. Yea.. I have lots of fun with my friends

I can definitley relate. My high school is known as the "preppy" school or "stuck-up", so every time that I meet somebody outside of school and they find out where I go to school, almost all of them say "Oh...you go to Neuqua...you must be a prep." It really annoys me how most people judge others right from the start. They have no clue who you are, what you are thinking, what kind of person you are, and what has happened to you in the past. But that's life, and it will happen sad.gif

yea. random acts of kindness are the best. as are pleasant strangers.

noh...im a little beyond that lol
...i live in a place called tyler texas and there is a history to it
a while back it was a really poor town with people who would dress rich..(i heard this from my teacher btw lol) she said they would wear polo shirts and sweaters around their neck and act stuck up to every one they would meet....its slowly evolved and became a richer place but most of the people stayed the same....the majority of the preps are rude biotches, but some arent. but like i said i dont judge people when first meeting them so i can avoid descriminating against the whole lot wink.gif

ay hmm i guess it happened to me and hahahah to rainnydaiis haha yes that's so true...my mom tries to be friendly to the strangers and all hahaha and they're like my mom is reallie nice and stuff...hehe but for me hmm i dont know i cant think right now hmmm uhhh lets see... well lets see one time when i was working in baskin robins...this one day i was so grumpy that time that the little kids were even mean to me before i did somethin to them maybe my looks were that bad for them, but still the old ppls still respected me which made my day =]

yea its cool when people get to know me b4 they judge me... like even if they heard bad things about me they give me a chance.... its nice being treated like a human being ;]

and some cb members have been nice enough to get to know me rather than judge me by my name or some stupid posts ive made biggrin.gif
