can anyone tell me how to put grids on a banner in photoshop 7?

ok open a new document, should be 20 px by 20 px. now, using the marquee tool and shift, make a perfect sqaure in the middle on the document. now, go to edit> stroke. afterward, press up key and left key to nudge the box.

now, go to edit> define pattern.

now go to your banner, and go to the channel box in the lower right corner. create a new channel, and then go to edit> fill. fill it with the pattern that you have saved. now, go to the lower channel box again, and click on the dotted circle. (it should be the load button) you shouldsee the whole grid marqueeing. go to the layers now, and create new layer. then, press alt+backspace to fill in the grid. now click inside the banner with the marquee tool selected. you should see a grid... happy.gif
