repeating layout like dark layout's??, how is this possible Options

Here on dark layout's xanga, his new skin repeats in the middle, so no matter how long his page gets, the middle is long and doesn't stretch the top or bottom parts. what's the code to make a background at the top and bottom stick, but have the middle part grow like that?

you cut off a piece of the bottom part of the layout and make it the background so it will repeat throughout the whole thing.
