well, id like to be popular...around MY OWN friends, that is.
if i was popular, then everyone would now you and keep lookin to you for tips or fashion ideas...i think i cant do that.
and, if you are popular, youd have to keep up with all the latest styles and gossip; you just cant miss out on anything important.
i think its too much pressure for me.
id rather be popular and have friends that care about you, than be popular and have friends just because they think youre cool.

Popularity is definetly not important. If anything, you want to avoid it.

If you hang out in a large group, you could be concidered popular. Not individually, but just for being in that group it self.

Being an individual isn't so great.

I've been popular ever since I started school [I don't know why]. To begin with, I didn't see it that way. I just have alot of friends and that's all I thought of it. But then I started to stand out more.
- If you're not one for attention - you'll hate it. And I did. I like to blend in... right into the background. I'm the listener. The thinker. Not the "woo! look at me!" type of person.

Attention seekers will befriend you, and you'll end up with trust issues because the person you thought was your friend, then turns out to be one big fat user.

Rumors occur. Everyone wants to get into your buisness. People will either love you or hate you [without even knowing you].

In our school, everything is extremely cliquey. Most or less, if anyone is popular, they're popular within their cliques, not necessarily a whole grade. (As in there will be a "leader" and everyone else will be "followers".)

It's not important to me at all. As long as you have your own friends that will stick by you, it's all good.

being popular isn't always bad. it depends why you're popular you know? i used to be really popular but then stupid jealous girls convinced me that that meant i was shallow and i believed them (i was younger) - and that was just stupid because i'm just a sociable person and i never meant to make anyone feel bad. and my bro is really popular in his school and he's an awesome nice guy. so, it really depends on your motives. there are those people out there who are popular just to get attention and feel better about themselves, and that's wrong, especially when they put other people down or shun them to get there.

I'm really not into the popularity factor. I think it takes up way too much time. I'm popular with my friends....thats it. I'm considered a "band geek" and there's a lot of us. we hang out...and we're cool in our own wierd, special way.
