Popularity is something I believe that has to do with how much you love yourself. I think at first you have such a low self-esteem, than you get popular, than you love yourself; But you have to change yourself.
Why waste your time when you can have real friends, a great life, and be yourself? ^^ I was perfect, popular, smart and everything in 7th and 8th grade. I was head of a huge Asian herd at my school, and everyone knew me. I lost it all, but I found I'm happier without it. :] |

i honestly don't care about popularity. ten years from now, it wouldn't even matter if you were prom queen or homecoming queen. it's just something that all teenagers strive for, it's nothing important AT ALL.

No, I would never want to be popular..
Because its almost like being famouse, everyone knows everything about you.. and you always have to worry about your image, being popular is WORK. I'd rather just be myself and not be popular than have to worry every second if I'm doing something cool or not. |

Popularity is kind of a bonus. It's okay if you are, for the right reasons. Not because of something you did, but because people actually like you.
It's a cool thing to have, but you won't die without it or anything. It's just a plus. I'm... average, I guess. I know a bunch of kids, all different cliques and stuff. Not just one crowd. So it's all gravy. |

Well.. I was always the "nerdy" girl.. because I was in this awkward phase where I was totally and completely hidious.
Then. I hit puberty and for some reason Ive never really had an acne problem, my big teeth became these teeth that people constantly asked if I had had braces, and my hair was suddenly not as frizzy as before. I became "popular". Loved it for like.. 4 months, then realized that everyone who is your "friend" are all just backstabbers. I'd rather have "nerdy" friends.. than no friends at all. Then I came into highschool and became friends with a Junior and we've been b/fs ever since.. (she was tired of the teen drama, as well.) End of Testimony. |

I am deffinetly not popular. Nobody except the popular people like the popular people. Nobody likes them and they think that they're all big and crap. The popular's at my school are sluts and looked down upon.

i think its nice to be liked by everyone, and i really dont mind benig the center of attention. so yeah, i guess id like being popular but i'm not obsessed with popularity or anything like that. i'm fine with my current social status :P |

popularity is my middle name. i'm one of the popular ppl. but ppl at my school are diff from ppl at other school. we dont put ppl down, and we let everyone sit with us. but some ppl hate us just because were popular. and we didn't do anything to them. well they can just deal with that.

my view on popularity is that to be involved in as much activities as you can resulting to people knowing about you [or that your really hot] and that u have alot of friends,.. which leads you to be popular
im one of them at my school, not snobbish or anything, i dont dress like some kind of hoe or anything [catholic = uniforms] , but i try to get involved so that when i reach HS, its no prob. to make friends |

Popularity for some is very important. I have encountered people where they are obessed with being popular. I have never been about that, I admire the underdog, the one that is a good person but no one seems to appreciate.

being popular is being constantly watched by everyone, and then you KNOW people talk about you and what you did, who you went out with, what you did last summer.
 it`s like you`re a celebrity and you strive for perfection. not a good idea.

im well known at school, im not popular..probably really far away from...but i still have many friends, im friends with some 'popular' people and a lot of dorks...yea...im a dork xD lol but hey, as long as you like the friends you have..
