The last time I saw him,
This moment I will never forget,
When he walked into the bright light,
And left me there to sit.

I had never thought about life without him,
Until he could no longer hold me,
In the end I cried as hard as I could,
But I was still upset.

I then saw him in a dream,
He said he was sorry he had to leave me,
But he had to go sometime,
He only wished it would have been when I was older.

He said he was sorry he couldn't watch me grow up,
He would have wanted to,
I know he would be so proud,
And I too wish he could see me.

He made my four years great ones,
Although I can't explain why,
But not only was he my great grandfather,
He was my best friend.
