How can you say NOFX is not punk? That is like saying -er- Mickey is not a Mouse? Yeah...but i would have to say Ramones or Dead Kennedys.

Genres of rock have been so mixed that I dont label them anymore. I will just list a few and you can pick and choose which are and arent punk.

Never really thought of Slipknot as a punk band before but whatever..
I guess you could call these bands punk even though I'm not sure what punk is these days: AFI Coheed & Cambria ..The Distillers? I dunno.. |

Wow, I never knew so many people were confused about what goes under the 'Punk' genre.
For starters, Punk is broken down into so many categories like emo, hardcore, pop, screamo, - hell it's so crazy you might as well toss in Ska, Oi, and indie in there. --- Thrice, From Autumn to Ashes, The Ataris, and The Used to name a few. |

Ok people, try to determine the difference with Punk Music and Pop Rock Music.
 The Clash is punk, although they have gay voices  but that doesn't matter. It's all about the music.
