Making a skin with the 'table format'?, What is it and is there a code? =) Options

Hi! I've looked in Xanga Scripts, but when I'm not exactly sure what its really called..its hard to find it. Ive heard people say "i made this skin using the table format" and then their skin looks really neat and clean cut. What is this 'table format' and is there a code? Thanks!!

I mean the whole layout..but diff. pics and colors. I've seen it as a "generic" layout, but people add their own flare to it. <--hope that made sense.

thanks, i'll play around with it and let you know if that was it. I basically just want to put my image url in, change the colors and fonts..nothing special..
