The background colors of my modules are white and I want to change them to black. When I change it in my custom header part it stays white. What should I do?

Change it in your custom header AND Claf.

It's because you modules have a background.
Remove the background, and then try changing the color.

^ That's in your custom header.
Remove the 'http://skins.cbstaff.com/001_050/skin031_blog.gif'.
Then it should work properly.
