I think they're disturbing... I've actually wasted my life classifing man boobs into three different catagories:
Gynecomastia- meaning "woman's breast", it is characterized by either fat or breast tissue under the nipple creating the appearance of breasts. Some men actually lactate. This is an actual condition affecting about a third of all men to various degrees. The only cure is surgery to remove the unecessary tissue. Fat Man Boobs- this highly unscientific term refers to when a man overeats so much that he begins to deposit fat unter his nipple. Characterized by sagging, oversized, breast-like things, fat man boobs are not likely to impress anyone but a Sumo wrestler. Self-Inflicted Man Boobs- the most tolerable of all man boobs, self-inflicted man boobs are created when a man does too many chest presses, creating an oversized pectoral muscle. Under a tight shirt, these oversized muscles can disturbingly resemble fat man boobs, but without the sagginess of fatty flesh.
