what u mean by whole blog area? Do u mean like.. the whole xanga transparent? You can try using this
CODE <!-- begin code provided by createblog.com --> <div style="background:transparent; border=0px solid #000000; width:420px; height:350px; BACKGROUND:transparent; FILTER: alpha(opacity=80); overflow:auto;</style> <!-- end code provided by createblog.com --> |

Maybe get rid of the borders and background?
CODE <!-- begin code provided by createblog.com -->
<style type="text/css">.blogheader{border:0px;background-color:transparent};.blogbody{border:0px;background-color"transparent} <!-- end code provided by createblog.com --> |
