Well, I'm about to take the test for my license on Saturday...and some things I'm curious about:

1) @ Driver's Ed, my teacher told me that if you go one mile over the speed limit during the test...you fail. Is this true? (My friends were half and half on that...)

2) If you bump a car during parallel parking, do you fail automatically?

3) I hear from a lot of people that when you uphill park, you turn on your signal, slide next to the curb, and shift your steering wheel away from the curb....but, my teacher told me something about using Neutral....anyone know wth she's talking about..?

Also...I need some tips....gimme some tips if you know any, speak up! I gotta pass this test wink.gif

i haven't taken drivers ed yet, but i do no how 2 drive, 1st off, NO u dun't fail 4 goin over da speed limit by 1 mil, u onli get pointz taken off, N datz usually onli when ur drivin outside, if ur drivin in an area desinated by ur tester, itz fine, bout da bump thingy....... i'm not realli sure on dat, all i no is dat u onli get pointz taken off mostly 4 mistakes N not fail, N da uphill din, da Neutral gear, dere r lyke 6 gearz in total, i dun't remember all of em', but if u use neutral dat ur switchin from drive in2 neutral N neutral is usually used 4 crusin, N da onli tipz i can give u is 2 NOT piss ur teacher off NOR drive 2 fast where dey would wanna SLAM their brakes, since driver ed's cars have brakes on both sides, driver N shotgun seat both have brakes N wheels usually, unless u dey choose 4 u 2 drive dere car, den da tip i can give 2 u is, DON'T CRASH THEIR CAR!!!!

1) I'm pretty sure if you go over 1 mile you won't fail... I mean it's really hard to stay exactly at 45 or 40 or 35... but where I live, if you go over 5 miles then you fail...

2) Where I live, they use barrels for the parallel parking... they say if you bump into the barrels you automatically fail and if you bump into the curb then you automatically fail also.

3) What my driver's ed teacher taught me was that when you park uphill... you put your steering wheel all the way to the right... so if your car's brakes go out or something... the car will go back into the curb and be stopped... something like that...

whew....thx every1 for the help. I passed! happy.gif Got an 84...but hey, I passed right? lol.

Well..first up, for those of you who plan on taking the test, here's what I found out:

1) You won't fail for going 1 over...with my instructor, if you went over 3, it's fail, and if its below 5, its 5 points off or something like that. I just stayed at 2 - 3 below the speed limit (just for the test wink.gif ).

2) At the testing place, they had cones...I got knocked out on this one cause it was kinda hard to imagine the "bumpers" and whatever to be used as a marking, and the space was kinda small...so yea, failed this part.

3) I think my teacher was just stupid or something...cause I didn't use Neutral or w/e and I still got full points. Just signal, slide close to the curb, park, shift the wheels, and then side brakes.

The test was like...5 minutes long lol, and I went through my neighborhood (which kinda surprised me, but also helped me a bit since I knew the place well).
